I have many online magazines I subscribe to. One of them isn the Science of Getting Rich Email Digest. I was reminded by one of today’s post that the real reason to give is to receive.
Actually my parents and the religious leaders that I encountered in my up bringing always said something like, give just to give. In other words give without expecting in return.
I agree with that, but it’s also important to know that in giving we receive, and it’s that part of giving that feeds the cycle of life or Karma or what ever you want to call it.
Rebecca Fine, the Grand Poobah of the Science of Getting Rich Network says it mot succinctly,
“I would say that the ACTION of the giving matters not at all. It’s the THOUGHT and feeling that INSPIRE the giving that have all the power. Someone asked me just the other day about this topic and my “in a nutshell” response was simply this:
I don’t give (whether my tithe, a gift to an organization or individual, or even someone on the street) to MAKE myself feel good. I give BECAUSE I feel so good.”

So this season, give for the sake of giving, and remember, it’s the THOUGHT and feeling that INSPIRE the giving , that have all the power.
